🚧 **Tender Opportunity – Protecting the T’Railway for the Future!**Not all work on the T’Railway is about grading and improving the trail surface. Some of our most important investments are about **protecting the trail itself.**The Newfoundland T’Railway Council is inviting bids for the **Balbo Drive Slope Repair Project in Clarenville.**This project focuses on stabilizing an area where slope failure could result in a landslide, significant damage to the T’Railway and a lengthy trail closure. The work includes replacing an existing wooden retaining wall with a new engineered concrete block retaining wall, along with drainage improvements and earthwork to stabilize the area. While this type of work may not be as visible as a freshly upgraded trail, it is just as important. **Preventative maintenance today can help avoid costly repairs and major disruptions down the road.**Our responsibility is not just to improve the T’Railway, but to protect it for future generations.📋 **TENDER OPPORTUNITY****Project:** Balbo Drive Slope Repair – Clarenville, NL**Closing Date:** Monday, October 19, 2026**Closing Time:** 2:00 p.m. Newfoundland TimeQualified contractors can obtain tender specifications and drawings from WSP.📧 [wd********************@*sp.com](mailto\:wd********************@*sp.com)Electronic bids must also be submitted to this email address before the closing deadline. ...

As we continue making improvements to the T’Railway, trail users may experience short delays of 10–15 minutes in active work areas. These delays are sometimes unavoidable when heavy equipment is operating in tight spaces. Please be patient and give crews the time and space they need to work safely. Use the opportunity to stretch your legs, have a snack, and enjoy the scenery. Most importantly, only proceed through a work area when the equipment operator or crew indicates that it is safe to do so.Thanks for your patience and cooperation as we continue improving the T’Railway. ...
