Newfoundland T’Railway

T’Railway Information for ATV/SXS

ATV riders should be aware that trail conditions can change rapidly. Sudden washouts may occur due to rainstorms, and unexpected snowstorms can happen during spring and fall, especially in elevated areas like the Gaff Topsails.

Before heading out on the trail, check local conditions.

Important Notice: The T’Railway is closed between Mount Moriah and Pasadena. Several alternate routes are available, but please note that these routes are not managed by the Newfoundland T’Railway Council, which means the Council has no responsibility or knowledge of their conditions. Alternatively, you can arrange for your ATV to be transported around this section using one of the towing companies in the area that offer this service.

Due to the trail’s 883 km length and the significant cost of maintenance, some sections may be rough and narrow. However, most areas are manageable on an ATV. The T’Railway Council is actively seeking funding and working on upgrades.

Don’t hesitate to stop and chat with the locals; they are usually friendly and helpful. For current ATV regulations and additional information, please visit the official website here.
